Week 10.2
OK, by now your probably either A-sick of seeing theDigitalVein, or B- you cannot get it out of your head. Hopefully its B. I wanted to display my ability to incorporate the logo into stationary. I gave the overall formats of the business card, envelope, and 8.5 by 11 letter a base by inserting the TDV symbol. Using the transparency palette in Adobe Illustrator, I gave the symbol around 20 percent transparency to allow for body copy to be easily read. I found it very difficult to contain all the necessary information i.e. address, email, phone, website without being too cluttered. I also ran into some problems when I had to take into consideration The United States Postal Service regulations and requirements on how a design can be intrusive to the correct processing of U.S. mail. If a design is not in regulation with The Postal Service, it may hinder the sorting machines leaving your design lost in the mail system from weeks or even months! This can be devastating to your business when your information is not getting communicated correctly.
